Melvern Reservoir Fishing Report — June 2026

Also running high and rising, same pattern as Clinton but a slightly better all-around bite reported.

  • Crappie: Good. Post-spawn fish on brush piles in 10-15 feet, live minnows a reliable fallback when the bite’s tough.
  • Sauger/Saugeye/Walleye: Good. Worms working well on feeding fish, bite expected to toughen through midsummer as shad mature.
  • Catfish: Good. Channels spawning near creek mouths and rocky banks; blue/flathead spawn comes later.
  • White bass: Good. Same windblown-shoreline pattern as Clinton, larger shad concentrating fish as summer progresses.
  • Largemouth/smallmouth bass: Good, post-spawn. Same structure pattern, smallmouth rocky, largemouth brush/timber.
