The reporting method
More than a bite rating.
Fishing changes from day to day. Instead of reporting rumors as facts, Aggressive Lures distinguishes firsthand observations, guides' contributions, and clearly attributed agency reports. A successful trip is interesting. A slow trip can be just as useful.

Hillsdale fishing: a dated agency snapshot.
Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks publishes biologist reports for Kansas reservoirs. Its reservoir-report page identified its latest site update as September 16, 2026 when reviewed October 25, 2026. The individual Hillsdale section may reflect observations from a different date.
That snapshot rated crappie fishing fair, discussed fish around deeper brush and Rea Bridge, and mentioned vertical jigging with soft plastics or minnows. It rated channel catfish good, with an emphasis on structural breaks and cut bait. These are historical source observations, not a claim about today's bite.

What is biting?
Species and response, including any uncertainty.
Where are they?
Lake, cover, depth and only locations the contributor chose to share.
What worked?
Presentation, bait, speed, line angle and what was observed.
What changed?
Weather, water or fish behavior relative to previous outings.
What would you try next?
A practical next step, not a guaranteed result.
How sure are we?
Source, observation date, confidence and the latest update.
